New Zealand · Human-reviewed concierge service

Professional live music, arranged across
New Zealand.

Start with the room, the date and the brief.

Locrian reviews each enquiry, prepares suitable options where it can help, and manages the path towards confirmation.

Submitting a brief begins a managed process. It is not a booking confirmation.

01 · The managed process

What happens after you enquire

A brief begins a human-reviewed process.
Nothing is automatically matched or confirmed.

01

Share the room, date and brief

Tell us where the music will happen, when it is needed and what it needs to do.

02

A human reviews it

Locrian reviews the request and its current ability to help. More information may be requested.

03

Suitable options may be prepared

Where there is a workable fit, Locrian prepares suitable options and relevant booking information.

04

Confirmation is managed

Details and practical requirements are coordinated before anything is confirmed.

Submitting a brief does not guarantee availability, suitability or confirmation.

02 · The work beneath

The work beneath
a good booking

Live music can change a room.
Booking it is often harder than it should be.

Locrian exists to make the path from brief to performance clearer, without flattening the art.

01

Clearer information

Clients should understand what they are arranging, what information is available and where to go when questions arise.

02

Practical coordination

Musicians and ensembles should understand the booking context, expectations and practical requirements before they arrive.

03

Human judgement

Locrian is designed to bring fit, booking information, practical coordination and responsibility closer together.

Clear communication.
Practical coordination.
Live music that belongs in the room.

03 · How we think about art

Art imitates life.

What a creator can conjure is based on a finite life: what they have lived, noticed, practised and learned.

Live music, created within that finite, changes a room because people innately bring judgement, presence and attention to it, which creates the living, infinite nature of art.

That work is shaped by practice, context and life itself.

Locrian exists to make space for that work to arrive properly:

  • Clearer preparation.

  • Respectful systems.

  • Less avoidable friction.

Technology is useful when it helps the people in the room, not when it performs for them.

04 · Start a brief

Start a brief

Begin with the essentials.
Add the rest where you already know it.

A human will review your submission. Locrian may ask for more information before deciding whether it can help.

Submitting a brief begins a managed process. It is not a booking confirmation.

05 · For musicians

For musicians

Introduce your work to Locrian.

If you are a musician or ensemble and would like Locrian to know what you do, send an expression of interest.

A human will review it. We may get in touch if more information or a suitable next step is needed.

Submitting an expression of interest does not guarantee assessment, admission or work.

06 · Music advisory

Sometimes the question is bigger than the booking.

Not every music brief begins with a date and a stage.

Sometimes you need to know who to call.

Whether an idea is workable.

How the music should take shape.

Or what the next move should be.

Locrian provides independent music consultancy and arts advisory across New Zealand, bringing practical industry knowlede, creative judgement and the right people around a problem.

That may mean shaping a brief, sourcing artists or specialists, music direction and programming, project or event strategy, a second opinion, industry navigation, or helping carry an idea from early thinking into something that can actually happen.

The work begins with the problem.

Bring us the music problem.

No package to fit into. No automatic answer. A human reviews each enquiry and works out whether Locrian is the right place to help.

07 · The long view

Locrian is being built for a future in which live music is easier to find, understand and arrange without becoming impersonal.

Ambition matters.
So does proof.
